Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to ‘Team Millfield’. My name is Nicola Regan and I am immensely proud and privileged to be the Headteacher at our fantastic school. I have worked at Millfield since 2009 and have been the Head of English and the Deputy Headteacher here. My experience of our core values (consistent high-quality teaching and learning in a disciplined and caring environment) is at the heart of everything I believe in. I am ambitious for our students and I ensure their outcomes are at the centre of everything we do.

Headteacher's welcome

We are a small, oversubscribed school in the heart of the Thornton community. Our motto is ‘Creating Bright Futures’ and I believe that your child is entitled to an outstanding education, where they can become the very best they can be – in everything they do.

Millfield is a caring school: all students are valued and happiness through personal success is inspired. We strive for all students to become emotionally equipped individuals; reaching their full potential through a personal learning experience and gaining a thirst for life-long learning. We believe in enriching our students with a wide variety of cultural and sporting experiences. Students have visited Ypres to lay a wreath at the Menin Gate; they have been to Paris; they have been skiing in the Alps; they have explored New York; they have been to art galleries, university taster days and the theatre.

I have high expectations in our standards of attendance, behaviour, attainment and respect. The Millfield team has a collective belief that with these high expectations, resilience and determination all our students will reach their full potential. Millfield is an excellent school, with a team committed to ensuring that children are nurtured, educated and ready to take their next step into the world. Our aim is to be consistently exceptional.

If you would like to visit the school, then feel free to book a tour with me.
